You may have noticed I missed my publishing deadline last week. Writing the past nine instalments of The Exit Strategy has been a deeply rewarding experience, but it has also required a significant emotional investment. I hope you’ve enjoyed these personal stories as much as I’ve valued sharing them. Revisiting these moments has been an eye-opening journey—one that has helped me better understand and document the environments, encounters, and people that have shaped my perspective on the world.
This reflection has brought many things into focus, and in some cases, allowed me to finally put certain memories to rest. I lost much of my childhood to trauma, so revisiting these experiences has been both revealing and healing.
